The Social Network drags in $23 million on first weekend
Last weekend the movie "The Social Network" premiered in the US. The movies was shown in 2.770 theaters all across the US. The movie made $23 million in its first weekend. With a premiere weekend like this it is going to be exciting to watch this play out, how much will the movie raise in total?
The movie based is around the start-up of Facebook and its creator Mark Zuckerberg, its about betrayal, friendship, money and the movement Facebook has made in the social networks. Facebook has shown concern about the movies critics, afraid it might harm the image Facebook has. Others say it could only be good exposure for Facebook (keeping in mind the fact that all publicity is good publicity).
This movie might not be totally on topic on this blog but seeing its about social networks (which is a major part of web-marketing these days) i thought i'd post it anyway.
And it seems to be a pretty good movie ;)
